MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Membership is open exclusively to full-time employees in the positions of Police Officer, Security Officer, and

Dispatcher within the Temple University Campus Safety Department. Individuals become members by completing a membership application and authorizing union dues deductions.

Membership is voluntary, though TUPA is the exclusive bargaining representative for all individuals in the covered positions, including non-members. Non-members are still covered under the collective bargaining agreement but do not have voting rights or the ability to participate in internal union governance.

TUPA engages in a range of activities designed to represent, protect, and advance the professional interests of its members. All activities are conducted in accordance with its mission as a labor organization and are funded primarily through. member dues.
